MIAT to Celebrate 60th Anniversary

The Maintenance and Engineering Organization of MIAT Mongolian Airlines performed C+4C” check on Russian UTair B767-200 and C-check Alrosa Air B737-800.

Air Astana announced its plan to launch scheduled air service between Ulaanbaatar and Astana. According to Air Astana CEO Peter Foster, with Ulaanbaatar-Astana (ULN-TSE) route, the airline will plug into the fast-growing and relatively underserved Mongolia-Europe market.

MIAT wet leases B737 to Czech TSA

Ulaanbaatar Airport Unveils Its Transit Hall

Ulaanbaatar_Airport_Transit_Hall_ULNWorks for creating an international transit hall have begun in June 2015. One of the main reasons for creation of the international transit hall is to prepare for the 11th high level ASEM meeting to be hosted by Mongolia in 2016 besides serving as a hub for travelers from neighbouring countries.

About 4,500 guests from 50 countries are expected to participate in the 11th high level ASEM meeting. The government is focusing on service quality, organization and food for the safety and comfort of the guests.

New Tourism Minister Appointed

The State Great Khural (parliament) of Mongolia has newly appointed Battsereg Namdag as the Minister of Environment, Green Development and Tourism of Mongolia on September 8, 2015.
During the appointment hearing at the parliament, Battsereg expressed that he will focus on the environment protection as well as the continuity of previous minister’s policy.
