Mongolia and Russia to expand collaboration in civil aviation

Minister_of_Transport_of_met_with_Mongolian_Minister_of_Road_and_TransportUpon the invitation of the Minister for Transport of the Russian Federation Maksim Yurevich Sokolov, the Minister for Roads and Transportation of Mongolia Amarjargal GANSUKH paid a working visit to Russia on August 06-09, 2014.

During the visit, Minister A.Gansukh held a meeting with his counterpart M.Yu.Sokolov, and parties had initialled the Memorandum of Understanding between the Federal Air Transport Agency of Russia and the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia, the signing of which is scheduled during the upcoming official visit of the Russian President Vladimir Putin in Mongolia in September, 2014.

The Minister A.Gansukh and the Head of Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority T.Lkhagvasuren also met with the Head of Russian Federal Air Transport Agency Alexandr Nerad'ko and discussed about further collaboration issues, including training of Mongolian students at the Russian institutes and universities of civil aviation, cooperation in the air traffic organization and maintenance of airworthiness. 

reached consensus discussing the sector’s collaboration and its broadening issues. Specifically, cooperation between civil aviation of Mongolia and Russia as well as partnership between MIAT Mongolian Airlines and Aeroflot Russian Airlines.

Moreover, Mongolian delegates led by Minister visited the the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation, Moscow Center for Automated Air Traffic Control and “Aerosoyuz” helicopter company.
