Singapore introduction seminar held

Singapore_Ulaanbaatar_flight_introduction_seminarMIAT Mongolian Airlines, Changi Airport and Singapore Tourism Board held a seminar in Ulaanbaatar on 17 November 2014 for Mongolian travel agencies and tour operators to introduce and promote Singapore as a outbound destination for Mongolian travelers .

The seminar held in Best Western Premiere Tuushin hotel in downtown Ulaanbaatar was attended by the Altantsom B. - Head of Policy and Planning of MIAT, Wong Woon Liong - Senior advisor to Changi Airport, and Kwan Su Ming - Area Director of Singapore Tourism Board as well as by representatives from about 100 companies.

According to Wong Woon Liong as of September 2014, about 5,500 people arrived to Singapore from Mongolia through Changi Airport, mainly for medical tourism. The national air carrier of Mongolia - MIAT Mongolian Airlines launched first regular flight between Singapore and Ulaanbaatar on September 24, 2014.

The event was a good networking opportunity for both Singaporean and Mongolian companies engaged in travel and tourism industry.
