Air Busan To Launch Ulaanbaatar flight

Air Busan Ulaanbaatar flightKorean Air Busan starting late-June 2016 is launching scheduled regular service to Mongolia, as it begins Busan – Ulaanbaatar operation.

First flight is scheduled on June 24, 2016, with Airbus A320 type aircraft operating twice weekly flights on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The airline will be the second airline from Korea operating in Mongolia after Korean Air that connects Seoul and Ulaanbaatar. It is unknown if Mongolian CAA designate second carrier from Mongolian side in return.

Air Busan Co., Ltd., operating as Air Busan is a low-cost airline based in Busanjin-gu, Busan and is a subsidiary of Asiana Airlines. The latter is a long time rival of Korean Air and is known for its serious interest in seeking third and fourth freedom traffic rights to Mongolia, and the planned flight by its subsidiary airline is deemed as a first step for such rights.
